India posted 181/8 in the Super 8 stage match against Afghanistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Suryakumar Yadav was the highest run-scorer for the Men in Blue, amassing 53 runs off 28 delieveries, packed with 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu compared SKY to legendary West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards. Yadav hit a four on the leg side of the ground. The ball was bowled wide of the off stump and Suryakumar slammed it on the on side.

Sidhu was impressed and lauded the batter. “Only Vivian Richards used to play that kind of a stroke. Suryakumar Yadav is unbelievable and there is no one who can be impactful like him in T20Is.
