Rohit Sharma started his innings with a bang against Bangladesh but played a reckless shot to waste another scoring opportunity. Rohit was looking good before he went for too many shots against Shakib Al Hasan and lost his wicket. Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu questioned his approach in the Super 8 clash of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

The Men in Blue started brilliantly after being invited to bat first by Bangladesh captain. Sharma amassed 23 runs off 11 balls, laced with 3 fours and 1 six. He shared a 39-run partnership with Virat Kohli in 3.4 overs.

“It is not good to throw away your wicket after getting a start. Rohit Sharma had a chance to score a hundred as he was looking good but the veteran made a mistake of going hard. I liked the way he hit fours and a six and should have carried on,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.

The right-handed batter scored a fifty in the first contest against Ireland but he hasn’t done anything impressive since then.
