He said, “First and foremost, Rohit Sharma should treat young and senior players equally in the dressing room. This is a difficult task but a good leader does not shy away from taking such tough decisions and is also bound to do so. A leader is known for doing difficult tasks. If you do this, then you are known as a leader but if this is not possible then you remain just a follower.”

Gambhir further said that “A true leader is one who is full of confidence and unites the team. The standards should not be different for any different player, no matter how big a player he is. If you want to do this, then you should have a lot of confidence and courage for this. For me, a true and true leader is one who is true to everyone sitting in the dressing room. You cannot have different rules and different things for different individuals.”
