The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the squad for the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. Shubman Gill will lead the team with selectors giving place to the top performers in IPL 2024.

The senior Indian players who are part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 have been rested by the apex body. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant are the notable absentees.

Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been rewarded for their superb display in the 17th season of IPL.

Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Khaleel Ahmed who are still in the West Indies with the Men in Blue, will show their skills in Zimbabwe. While Samson and Jaiswal are part of the main squad in the global tournament, Khaleel and Rinku travelled as reserves. Gill and Avesh Khan also went with the Indian team but were sent back after the USA leg.
