Rishabh Pant hasn’t been at his best in the last two games. He was slammed by Virat Kohli for playing a reckless against Bangladesh. The southpaw was looking good before he gifted his wicket to the rival team. Kohli was furious with his teammate and spoke to him in the dugout.
Pant made a blunder in the Super 8 match against Australia. Jasprit Bumrah bowled a nasty bouncer to Mitchell Marsh, who failed to connect the ball. It went in the air with Rishabh in a comfortable position to complete the catch.
However, his feet got stuck in to the ground and Marsh survived. Rohit didn’t hold back and slammed the wicker-keeper. He was not done yet and went to Pant after the over to hit out at him for his blunder.
Australia captain managed 37 runs off 28 balls, packed with 3 fours and 2 sixes. He was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma played one of the best innings in T20Is to take the total above 200 runs. He accumulated 92 runs off 41 balls, including 7 fours and 8 sixes.
