Lucknow: The updated schedule of Women's Asia Cup 2024 is out. According to this schedule, India will face its arch rival Pakistan in its first match. Let us tell you that this tournament will start from July 19 and it will be played in Sri Lanka. The very first match is going to be a big hit as defending champion India will face its biggest rival Pakistan. The top eight teams of the continent of Asia will be seen playing in this tournament and this time the format has been changed.

Actually, the eight teams that will participate in this tournament have been divided into two groups. Both groups have 4 teams each and all the teams will be seen playing three matches each. Apart from this, the top-2 teams of their groups will qualify for the semi-finals. If we look at the new schedule, then Group A includes the teams of India, Pakistan, UAE and Nepal. While Group B includes the teams of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia.

Both the semi-final matches of this tournament will be played on 26th July and the final match will be played on 28th July. Not only this, all the match officials in this tournament will be women. India will play their first match on 19th July and the Men in Blue will play their second match against United Arab Emirates on 21st July. On 23rd July, they will face Nepal.

In this series, Indian batsman Smriti Mandhana performed brilliantly and she also scored two consecutive centuries.
