Lucknow: The final match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was played between India and South Africa in Barbados. In this match, Team India won by 7 runs and won the World Cup. At one point in this exciting match, India was lagging behind but Team India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah made India come back and won the World Cup for India. With this, Team India won the T20 World Cup for the second time. Earlier, the Men in Blue had won the World Cup of this format in the year 2007.

In this match, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first and on this Barbados pitch, the Indian team fell short by a few runs but still they won. Batting first in this match, India scored 176 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. While chasing this target, the African team at one point scored 150 runs in 16 overs and the match slipped out of India's hands.

In the final match, veteran batsman Virat Kohli played a brilliant half-century innings for India.

He faced 59 balls and scored 76 runs with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from him, star all-rounder Akshar Patel also made a significant contribution in batting and scored 47 runs in 31 balls. Apart from him, Shivam Dubey also contributed an important 27 runs.

Chasing this target, the African team made a strong start and at one point star batsman Heinrich Klaasen snatched the match from India. Klaasen played an innings of 52 runs with the help of 2 fours and 5 sixes in 27 balls.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah bowled brilliantly for India and took 2 wickets giving only 18 runs in 4 overs. Arshdeep Singh also took 2 wickets. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya also took 3 wickets.
