After winning the T20 World Cup title, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma said goodbye to this shortest format of the game. Now his wife Ritika Sajdeh has shared an emotional post on this matter.
On her official Instagram account, Ritika wrote, “Rohit, I know what this means to you. This format, this cup, this player, this journey and this whole process is what you dreamed of. I know how difficult the last few months have been. I know how much it has affected your heart, mind and body but it was incredibly emotional and inspiring to see you fulfill your dream”.
Ritika further added, “As a wife, I am so proud of what you have achieved and the impact you have had on the people who love the game. I know you have thought a lot about the good things you have done for the team but it is not easy to see you leave. I love you so much and I am so proud to call you mine”.
It is worth noting that Rohit Sharma will now be seen leading Team India only in Test cricket and ODI cricket. Apart from this, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja will also not be seen in this shortest format of cricket.
