India Women vs South Africa Women: On the basis of brilliant innings of Shefali Verma, Smriti Mandhana and excellent bowling of Sneh Rana, the Indian women's cricket team defeated South Africa by 10 wickets in the only Test match played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

India got a target of 37 runs to win, which was achieved in just 9.2 overs on the basis of innings of Shefali Verma (24 not out) and Shubha Satish (13 not out).

After being given the follow-on, South Africa made a great comeback and scored 373 runs in the second innings.

Laura Wolvaardt scored 122 runs and Sune Luus scored 109 runs while scoring a brilliant century. Nadine de Klerk contributed 61 runs.

For India, in the second innings, Rajeshwari Gaikwad, Sneha Rana and Deepti Sharma took 2-2 wickets, while Shefali Verma, Pooja Vastrakar and captain Harmanpreet Kaur took 1-1 wickets.

It is worth noting that batting first in this match, the Indian team declared the first innings at 603 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. In which Shefali Verma (205) and Smriti Mandhana (149) played record innings. Apart from this, Richa Ghosh (86), Harmanpreet Kaur (69) and Jemima Rodrigues (55) scored half centuries.

In response to which South Africa was all out for 266 runs in the first innings. Performing a record performance for India in the first innings, Sneh Rana took 8 wickets and Deepti Sharma took 2 wickets.
