Pakistan’s all-rounder Shadab Khan took a hat-trick for the Colombo Strikers in the Lanka Premier League 2024. On July 2, he registered figures of 4 for 22 against Kandy Falcons at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

He is the second bowler after Wanindu Hasaranga to pick a hat trick in the history of LPL.

Shadab Khan was named the Player of the Match as his franchise, Colombo Strikers, won the contest by 51 runs. He also scored 17-ball 20 in Colombo’s total of 198.

Shadab dismissed Wanindu Hasaranga, Agha Salman, and Pawan Rathnayake in successive deliveries in the 15th over.

Kandy Falcons were bowled out for 147 in 15.5 overs.

“I was not aware about the milestone,” Shadab said. It was a much-needed boost for the spinner, who picked up just one wicket for Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Babar Azam did not use him in their match against India in New York on June 9.
