Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has become the world No.1 all-rounder along with Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga in T20Is. He took three wickets in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The scalps of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller won the contest for the Men in Blue.
Pandya is the first Indian to achieve the top rank in this category. Throughout the global tournament, Hardik performed well with the bat and ball.
He scored 144 runs and took 11 wickets. His decisive performance came during the finale, where he took the wicket of Klaasen, who scored a fifty.
Hardik also bowled the final over of South Africa’s chase and dimissed Miller while defending 15 runs.
Marcus Stoinis, Shakib Al Hasan, Liam Livingstone and Sikandar Raza moved up one position.
