Now the Indian team has left for their home country. On Wednesday, a special plane took them from Grantley Adams International Airport to Delhi.

The special Air India flight AIC24WC (Air India Champions 24 World Cup) took off at around 4.50 am local time and will reach Delhi at around 6.20 am Indian time on Thursday.

Before the plane took off, Indian captain Rohit Sharma posted a picture with the trophy on Instagram and wrote, “Coming home.” Coming home

The Indian team, its support staff, the players' families, some officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and some members of the Indian media are on board the plane. Let us tell you that this special flight has been arranged by the BCCI.

Earlier, the Indian team was scheduled to depart on July 2 at 6 pm local time and reach here on Wednesday at 7.45 pm (Indian time) but the departure was delayed due to the late arrival of the aircraft.

The players will be felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi within a few hours of their arrival here. There are also plans to hold a roadshow in Mumbai to honour the victorious team that ended the 11-year drought of the ICC trophy. Hurricane Beryl is now heading towards Jamaica.
