Mr. 360 degree Suryakumar Yadav has broken his silence on the retirement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from T20 International.

India won an ICC trophy after 11 years by defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024. After this victory, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli said goodbye to T20 International. After the retirement of these two legendary players, everyone is praising their contribution.

Suryakumar Yadav, who caught the match-winning catch of David Miller in the final, has also praised Virat and Rohit.

Regarding Virat, Suryakumar said, “It feels so strange that a big player like Virat Kohli left a format. When I came to the room that day after winning the final, I was just thinking that we will not get to see him in this format again. Whenever there is a pressure situation and the difficulties are less, he is the one who raises his hand and says, I will do this. I will always remember these moments.”

He further said, “Regardless of his performance, he is a powerhouse of energy on the field.

Even when he has not scored runs, it does not affect his fielding and it seems that he wants to be present everywhere on the field. He wants every ball to come towards him and he wants to catch every ball. He keeps sharing his experience in every over. This is really a big thing and we will miss him in this format.”

Surya said about Rohit, “If I start with Rohit Sharma, I think the whole day will pass or even the whole week can pass. The amount of connection he has shown with all the players.

Like, he was calm and kept others calm in the dressing room, on the field and during practice sessions. He did not let anyone think about the future.”

He further added, “Nothing else. He just told us to focus on one game and think about that moment, wherever it is. And this time, our motto was 'keep your mind where your feet are. He has been working so hard for so many years.' And he showed us how to play this format and win this tournament.”

Virat did not perform well in the T20 World Cup 2024 but played a brilliant half-century of 76 runs in the final.

He scored 151 runs in 8 matches played in the tournament at a strike rate of 112.68. Talking about Rohit, he was second in terms of scoring the most runs in the tournament. He scored 257 runs in 8 matches played in the tournament at a strike rate of 156.70. During this, he played 3 half-century innings. Talking about Surya, he scored 199 runs in 8 matches at a strike rate of 135.37. He also played 2 half-century innings in the tournament.
