After returning to India after winning the T20 World Cup trophy, all the players were given a grand welcome in Mumbai. The entire team did a victory parade from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium in an open bus. During this, lakhs of Indian fans gathered to see their star players. When the Indian team reached Wankhede Stadium for the felicitation ceremony, Virat Kohli praised Jaspreet Bumrah. He called Bumrah a national treasure and asked him to first sign the petition.
In T20 cricket, the economy of any bowler remains above 6, but Jasprit Bumrah gave only 4.17 runs per over during the World Cup. With this, he has become the cheapest bowler in the history of T20 World Cup. He stopped Pakistan from scoring 40 runs in 36 balls. In the final, South Africa could not score 30 runs in 30 balls. Seeing his deadly bowling, Virat Kohli called him India's national treasure and the eighth wonder of the world at the Wankhede Stadium. He said that he was once again afraid that the trophy might slip out of his hands, but what Bumrah did in the last five overs was unbelievable.

During this, Gaurav Kapoor, who was hosting the felicitation ceremony, asked Virat to sign a petition in which Jaspreet Bumrah will be declared a national treasure. Virat said that he is ready for this immediately. He just needs to ask Bumrah for time for this. He also requested all the spectators to clap for Bumrah, on which the entire stadium echoed with the slogans of Boom-Boom Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah also expressed his feelings about the World Cup victory during the felicitation ceremony. He said that he cried 2-3 times for the first time after winning a match. Bumrah also talked about his retirement. He said that he has no intention of it. This is just the beginning and he has to play for a long time.
