Shubman Gill will include his friend in the team

Yashasvi Jaiswal, a member of the T20 World Cup winning team and left-handed opener batsman, also got a place in the team selected for the Zimbabwe tour. Jaiswal had to leave for Zimbabwe from the West Indies itself, but due to bad weather this could not happen and he returned to India with the team. Due to which Sai Sudarshan of Gujarat Titans captained by Shubman Gill has been given a chance in the team in his place.

Due to the storm in the West Indies, flights were affected and Shivam Dubey and wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson along with Yashasvi Jaiswal could not go on the Zimbabwe tour with Team India. In such a situation, Sai Sudarshan, fast bowler Harshit Rana of IPL 2024 champion Kolkata Knight Riders and wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma of Preity Zinta-owned Punjab Kings have been given a chance in their place.
