Children, youngsters and even the elderly came out on the streets to welcome Siraj and gave their star player a heroic welcome. During this, Siraj also sang the song Lahra Do from the movie 83 with the fans.

When he waved from the sunroof of his car in Mehdipatnam, the capital of Telangana, a crowd of his fans gathered around him and greeted him too. Photos and videos of Siraj's grand welcome are going viral on social media very fast.

Earlier on Thursday, Siraj and other members of the Indian team were given a rousing welcome upon their arrival in Mumbai from Barbados. The Indian team arrived in New Delhi early in the morning and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence. They then left for Mumbai later the same day.

After reaching Mumbai in the evening, the team was greeted by over 300,000 fans during the Vijay Parade at Marine Drive and later Team India was felicitated by the BCCI with a cheque of Rs 125 crore at a packed Wankhede Stadium.

Talking about Siraj, he featured in all of India's group-stage matches, which were played on a fast bowler-friendly wicket in New York, while the team's only group match in Florida was washed out due to rain. Although he took just one wicket in three matches, Siraj, along with his pace teammates Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh, helped put pressure on the opposition by bowling economically. He conceded just 19 runs in four overs in the big match against Pakistan, in which India registered a six-run win over Pakistan.
