After the success of this parade, India's star batsman Virat Kohli himself has praised the Mumbai Police. Virat thanked the Mumbai Police for their incredible work during the Victory Parade. Kohli posted from his official X account and wrote, “Heartfelt respect and heartfelt thanks to all the officers and staff of Mumbai Police for doing a great job during Team India's Victory Parade. Your dedication and service is greatly appreciated. Jai Hind.”

After this, Mumbai Police also responded to Kohli's tweet and said that his achievement deserved such a celebration. Mumbai Police wrote in its reply, “Your GOAT achievement required nothing less than a proper arrangement. Yesterday's Virat celebration was for our trophy.”

India ended a 17-year T20 World Cup drought by defeating South Africa by 7 runs in a thrilling final played in Barbados. After playing an average tournament till the final, Kohli gave his best performance in the final and scored a brilliant 76 runs and also won the Player of the Match award. This is Kohli's first T20 World Cup title. If he wins the World Test Championship in the coming years, he will complete the Grand Slam of cricket, as he has already won the ODI World Cup and the Champions Trophy, the other two major ICC trophies.
