Zimbabwe defended 115 runs to beat India by 13 runs in the first T20I of the series. Shubman Gill’s team was bowled out for 102 runs in 19.5 overs. Sikandar Raza, the captain of the host nation, took three wickets. Tendai Chatara also chipped in with three scalps.
Gill (31) and Washington Sundar (27) and Avesh Khan (16) were the only India batters to touch the double digit mark.
Earlier, Zimbabwe managed 115/9, with Ravi Bishnoi dismissing four players. He was supported by Sundar, who accumulated two scalps.
Clive Madande (29 runs) was the highest run-scorer for Zimbabwe.
