Shubman Gill: The first match of the 5-match T20I series being played between Zimbabwe and India (ZIM vs IND) was played at Harare ground. Batting first, the Zimbabwe team managed to score 115 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.

In response to 116 runs, Team India could score only 102 runs and lost the match by 13 runs. The Indian team has faced defeat against Zimbabwe after 8 years. Shubman Gill's captaincy has suffered a crushing defeat against Zimbabwe. After which he looked very disappointed.

After the victory and defeat in the first match of the series, team captain Shubman Gill said in the post-match presentation, "We bowled quite well but we disappointed ourselves in the field.

We were not up to the standards and everyone looked a bit rusty. We talked about taking time and enjoying our batting but it didn't happen that way."

At the same time, after the defeat, Shubman Gill looked very disappointed with the batting and said, "We had lost 5 wickets halfway. It would have been best for us if I had stayed there till the end. I am very disappointed with the way I got out and the rest of the match was over.

There was some hope for us but when you are chasing 115 runs and your number 10 batsman is out. So you know that something is wrong."
