After winning the T20 World Cup, Team India arrived in New Delhi from Barbados on Thursday morning. The Men in Blue were stranded in Barbados by Hurricane Beryl. Virat Kohli was welcomed by his brother and other family members.

The Men in Blue received an enthusiastic welcome in Delhi on Thursday. Hordes of dedicated fans braved the steady drizzle and tight security to line up outside the airport, eager to catch a glimpse of their heroes as the team arrived on a chartered Air India flight. Despite the distance enforced by the heavy security presence, the players were greeted with a rousing reception in the national capital.

The team was then scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence. Before that, the T20 champions arrived at ITC Maurya to rest before meeting PM Modi.

ITC Maurya in Delhi was abuzz with preparations to welcome the victorious T20 World Cup champions back to India. The Indian squad arrived at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport after being stranded for several days in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl.

The five-star hotel in the upscale Chanakyapuri neighborhood has arranged a special breakfast and a cake to welcome the Rohit Sharma-led squad. The cake is decorated in the colors of the Team India jersey and topped with a chocolate recreation of the T20 trophy.

As the team went on to have their breakfast, Virat Kohli indulged in his favorite meal, chole bhature which was arranged by his family who came to see him.

As per sources, Virat’s siblings brother Vikas and sister Bhavna greeted their brother with their families at the ITC Maurya. As the team was having kachoris and momos, Kohli dived into his favorite breakfast of chole bhature upon arriving at the hotel.

Over the years, the star batter has openly shared his love for chole bhature in various interviews.
