Last Saturday, Team India won the whole world. This Saturday, the Indian team failed to win even a match that looked easy. Within a week, Indian cricket fans saw success as well as the heights and then fell to the ground. Just a week after Team India became the T20 World Champion, the Indian team full of young players had to face a shocking defeat against Zimbabwe. This match was also a new experience for Shubman Gill as he was captaining Team India for the first time. He too would not have expected this defeat but he must have definitely learned a lesson. After the match, Gill also admitted that Team India definitely made mistakes during this match.

Bowler is strong, batting is absolutely useless

In this match played in Harare, Team India bowled first and restricted Zimbabwe to just 115 runs. Team India's bowlers performed brilliantly. Especially spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Washington Sundar proved to be the most effective but the batting was quite surprising, where except Gill and to some extent Sundar, no batsman could stand against Zimbabwe's tight bowling and the entire team collapsed to just 102 runs.

Obviously, this was India's second-third rate team, in which there was no senior player except Gill.

Even Gill himself has played very few international matches in this format. Still, there was a lot for the team to learn. Gill admitted after the match that most of the players looked 'rusty', that is, they did not look fully prepared. Gill praised the bowlers but said that half the team getting out within 10 overs was disturbing.

'Something has gone wrong somewhere'

The young Indian captain admitted that he should have stayed till the end and led the team to victory. Gill, who came as an opener, tried for a long time but was bowled out by Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza in the 11th over.

He was the sixth batsman to get out. In the end, Sundar and Avesh Khan tried to make the team win but they could not succeed. Gill admitted his mistake and said that if while chasing a score of 115, you have to expect victory from the number 10 batsman, then you know that something has gone wrong somewhere.
