Kohli, who played a crucial 76-run knock to help India post a competitive 176/7 in the final, had earlier announced his retirement from T20 internationals, making the victory all the more special for the former Indian captain.

This was my last T20 game playing for India. We wanted to lift that cup,” Kohli said in the post-match presentation.
