Indian Women Cricket Team squad for Women’s Asia Cup 2024 announced: The performance of the Indian women's cricket team has been excellent in the recent past. The South Africa women's team is currently on a tour of India where Team India defeated the visiting team in the ODI series and the only Test match. But South Africa retaliated and defeated Team India in the first match of the T20 series. The Indian team has many upcoming challenges in the T20 format. After the series against the Proteas team ends, Team India will participate in the Women's Asia Cup. The BCCI has announced a 15-member team for this tournament to be held in Sri Lanka from July 19 and has also kept 4 players in reserve.

While Harmanpreet Kaur will be the captain of the Indian team, Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain. Shaifali Verma, Jemima Rodrigues, Dylan Hemalatha will be in the batting department, while Richa Ghosh and Uma Chhetri have been selected for wicketkeeping. Deepti Sharma, Sajna Sajeevan, Pooja Vastrakar and Arundhati Reddy will be seen in the role of all-rounders. Renuka Singh Thakur, Asha Shobhana, Shreyanka Patil and Radha Yadav have been given the responsibility of the bowling department. Team India has also added 4 reserve players to the team, which includes Shweta Sehrawat, Sayaka Ishak, Tanuja Kanwar and Meghna Singh.
