Team India's experienced wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul could have been included in the team on the Zimbabwe tour.

If he had been included in the team, he would have had experience of international cricket and he had also played in Zimbabwe before. In such a situation, if Rahul had been included in this team, India would not have had to face such a defeat.

Senior players were given rest

Due to this series being held immediately after the T20 World Cup 2024, senior players could not be a part of this series and due to this their absence was felt in the first match.
