Ishan withdrew his name citing his mental condition not being right and returned to India.

Ishan Kishan gave a big statement

Ishan has now revealed why he withdrew his name from the Test series against Africa. During a conversation with the Indian Express, Kishan said that he was constantly traveling with the team and was not getting a chance in the playing eleven and that is why he withdrew his name.

Kishan said that “I was scoring runs consistently but still sat on the bench. These things happen when you play for the team but I was feeling tired due to constant travelling. I was not feeling well and that is why I decided to take a break. The saddest thing for me is that no one understood this except my family and my close ones.”

Let us tell you that when Kishan withdrew his name, at that time head coach Rahul Dravid had said that if he wants to make a comeback in Team India, he will have to play cricket.

After this, BCCI also advised him to play in the Ranji Trophy. However, he did not listen to the cricket board and after this he was also dropped from the central contract.
