WTC : Team India has so far made it to the finals of both the World Test Championships organized by the ICC, but the Indian team had to face defeat in both the final matches. Due to which now Team India captain Rohit Sharma wants to make Team India win the final of the World Test Championship (WTC Final) once under his captaincy.

If we look at the current ranking of the World Test Championship (WTC), Team India is at the first position while Australia is at the second position. In such a situation, it seems that the final match of the World Test Championship 2025 (WTC 2025 Final) is going to be played between India and Australia (IND VS AUS). In such a situation, if the final match of the World Test Championship (WTC) is drawn, then the ICC will consider this team as the winner and will declare that team as the champion of the World Test Championship.

This team will be the winner when World Test Championship happens

If the final match of the World Test Championship 2025 (WTC 2025 Final) between India and Australia (IND VS AUS) is drawn, then as per ICC rules, both the teams will be declared joint winners of the edition of the World Test Championship.

The World Test Championship (WTC) trophy will be shared between the captains of both countries, while the prize money given by the ICC to the team winning the World Test Championship will also be divided equally between the two teams.

If the final is cancelled, drawn or tied, these are the ICC rules

According to ICC rules, if the final match of the World Test Championship is cancelled, tied or drawn then

• If the match ends in a tie then the Test mess will be shared and the prize money will also be distributed equally between the two finalists."
• If the match is drawn, tied or cancelled, the ICC will declare both the teams as joint winners of the World Test Championship.

Team India can take its revenge for the WTC 2023 final

If the final match of the World Test Championship 2025 is also played between Team India and Australia (IND VS AUS), then Team India would like to take revenge for the defeat in the final of the World Test Championship 2023. In the final match of the World Test Championship 2023 (WTC Final 2023), Team India had to face defeat by 209 runs.
