Shubman Gill: Currently, Team India is on a tour of Zimbabwe, where a 5-match T20 series is being played between the two teams. For this series, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appointed young batsman Shubman Gill as the captain. However, forget about his captaincy in the next three matches, he may even be dropped from the playing eleven.
Let us tell you that two matches of this series have been played so far and currently this series is tied at 1-1. Gill has captained India in both these matches but he may be dropped from the third match.
Actually, the first two matches of this series have been played and in the first match, Team India had to face a shameful defeat. However, they made a tremendous comeback in the second match and defeated Zimbabwe by 100 runs.
Gill did score 31 runs in the first match but could not make the team win.Apart from this, in the second match, he was out after scoring just 2 runs. In such a situation, he can also be dropped from the playing eleven. Another big reason for this is that opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is making a comeback from the third match and he can be included in the team's final eleven because Gill's form is not good at the moment.
On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma has confirmed his place by scoring a century in the second match and at number three, Rituraj Gaikwad also played a brilliant innings and in such a situation, Gill will not be able to find a place in the team and he can also be dropped from the playing eleven.
Let us tell you that if Gill is dropped, then wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson can take over the command of Team India in his place. Sanju was also not available for the first two matches but now he has returned and can be seen captaining in the third match.
Rohit Sharma is like an enemy for Samson because Rohit is giving chances to Rishabh Pant who is continuously failing but Sanju did not get a chance to play even in a single match.
Something similar was seen in the T20 World Cup as well, after the first few matches, Pant could not score runs consistently but despite this he was made to play in all the matches and Sanju was not given a chance to play even in a single match.Yashasvi Jaiswal, Abhishek Sharma, Rituraj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper/captain), Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Khalil Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar.
