Kishan said in a conversation with the Indian Express, “I took a break and I thought it was normal. There is a rule that if you want to make a comeback, you have to perform in domestic cricket. It is very simple. Now, for me domestic cricket is the best way to go.

Kishan admitted he was disappointed with not getting more opportunities in the Indian team despite putting in good performances.

Kishan said, “It was disappointing. Today I don’t want to say that everything was fine. It was not easy for me at all. You have to endure a lot. All this kept going on in my mind that yaar kya ho gaya, kya ho gaya, mere saath kyu. All these things happened when I was performing well.”
