What do the rules of the Indian Flag Code say

The Indian National Flag Code (Flag Code of India, 2002) has many rules and regulations for the use, display and respect of the Indian national flag. The flag should be flown with respect and the tricolour should never be dropped on the ground and a dirty or torn flag should not be flown. The flag should be flown from sunrise to sunset, unless it is well-lit. The Indian flag should not be used as any kind of costume, uniform or decoration. Burning, tearing or intentionally damaging the flag is considered a crime. The flag should not be used in any kind of advertising or promotional material.
