About 10 days after winning the T20 World Cup 2024, captain Rohit Sharma has written an emotional note for his coach Rahul Dravid. During this, he also told that Ritika calls Dravid his work wife.
About 10 days after winning the T20 World Cup 2024, Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has shared an emotional post praising his coach Rahul Dravid. Rohit shared some pictures with Dravid from his official Instagram account and shared a long caption in which he expressed his feelings.
Rahul Dravid worked as the head coach of Team India for three years and the T20 World Cup 2024 was the last task of his tenure. Under the guidance of Rohit and coach Dravid, India made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup in 2022 and then finished runners-up in the World Test Championship final and the ODI World Cup final in 2023. Dravid's first tenure, which began in November 2021, ended with the World Cup last November.
However, Dravid later revealed that a call from Rohit inspired him to extend his contract till the T20 World Cup to be held in the US this year. Now Rohit has openly expressed his emotions for Dravid. He wrote in the Insta post, “Dear Rahul bhai, I was trying to find the right words to express my feelings on this properly, but I am not sure I will ever be able to do so, so here is my attempt.”
Rohit further writes, “Since childhood I have respected you like billions of others, but I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work so closely with you. You are a legend of the game, but you left all your accolades and achievements at the door and came to us as our coach and came to such a level that we all felt comfortable saying anything to you. This is your gift, your humility and your love for the game even after all this time. I have learned a lot from you and will cherish every memory. My wife calls you my work wife and I am fortunate to call you that too. This (World Cup title) was the only thing missing in your arsenal and I am so happy that we were able to achieve it together. Rahul bhai, it is a great honour for me to call you my confidant, my coach and my friend.”
