India captain Shubman Gill is facing the anger of fans for demoting Abhishek Sharma to the number three batting slot in the third T20I against Zimbabwe. Gill opted to bat first as the Men in Blue made four changes.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson, who were with the T20 World Cup winning team, were added to the Playing XI. Sai Sudharsan, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel were dropped. Gill demoted last match centurion Abhishek Sharma and opened the innings with Jaiswal.

However, the fans slammed the Indian skipper for his decision. Gill scored 66 off 49 balls, packed with seven fours and three sixes. On the other hand, Abhishek managed just 10.

Abhishek scored a breathtaking 46-ball ton in just his second T20. The southpaw recorded the third joint-fastest century by an Indian batter in the shortest format as he hit eight sixes and seven fours in his knock.

Ruturaj Gaikwad accumulated 49 off 28 balls in the third contest as India posted 182/4 in 20 overs.
