Recently, the champion all-rounder recognized the cricketing talent of a 4-year-old girl named Rishika from Kolkata. Yuvraj was impressed with Rishika's talent and sent her a signed cricket bat as a gift. Notably, Rishika Sarkar has been living in a poor family in the suburbs of New Town for three and a half years. Every day, her family has to struggle for food. Despite her hardships, the young girl's indomitable desire to play cricket could not be suppressed. She practices for more than six hours every day to get better at the game. Her father, Rajiv Sarkar, has been training her regularly, and under his coaching, Rishika can play everything from square drives to cover drives.

Rishika will be trained at the Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence (YSCE) three days a week and will be monitored personally by the coaches. Merlin Rise and Club Pavilion, the sports club of Merlin Rise, will also provide nutritious food as per Rishika's diet list. YSCE will regularly monitor her performance and provide her with opportunities to play in future matches.
