His breathtaking spells are a thing to cherish forever as he provides a visual treat to cricket fans all over the world with his deadly yorkers and searing pace which send the timber cartwheeling.
Something similar happened exactly two years back (12th July 2022) when India were touring England and took on the hosts in the first ODI that was held at the Kennington Oval in London.
Having wrapped up the T20I series with a 2-1 win, India looked on to start the ODIs with a bang and Bumrah indeed weighed in on it with a magical spell that turned out to be his ODI career-best to date.
Bumrah returned figures of 6/19 in a spell that lasted 7.2 overs, recording a fantastic economy of 2.6 as he dismantled the English batting lineup with his ferocious pace. He bowled out Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone, David Willey, and Brydon Carse and removed Jonny Bairstow and Joe Root with the help of Rishabh Pant at the back.
No English batter could cross the 30-run mark that was scored by the skipper Jos Buttler followed by Willey's 21.
