Incidents when fans attacked Indian players in Pakistan: Pakistan is preparing for the Champions Trophy 2025, but it has not been decided yet whether the Indian team will go there to participate or not.

Due to which the Indian team has not visited Pakistan since 2008. At the same time, on many occasions before, major lapses have been seen in the security of Indian players in Pakistan. In such a situation, the BCCI is also not in the mood to take any risk.The first attack on Indian cricketers during a tour of Pakistan happened in the year 1989-90. During this tour, a person associated with a religious organization punched Chris Srikkanth. Sanjay Manjrekar has also mentioned this incident in his book and told that during this attack, a Pakistani supporter also tore Srikkanth's jersey.
The shocking thing was that apart from Srikkanth, Mohammad Azharuddin was also targeted in the same match.
Chandu Borde, who worked as Team India's manager on that tour, revealed that Azharuddin was hit with an iron object. However, he was not seriously injured.Indian players had to face such an incident during the 1997 Pakistan tour. During the ODI series, stones were thrown at 4 players of Team India. These 4 players were Sourav Ganguly, Nilesh Kulkarni, Abe Kuruvilla and Debashish Mohanty.
Sachin Tendulkar was the captain of the team on this tour and after this incident, he refused to enter the field citing security reasons. After this, in 2006, Pakistani fans made Sachin Tendulkar their target. During the Karachi Test on this tour, Pakistani supporters attacked Sachin Tendulkar with stones.Irfan Pathan also faced a similar incident during the 2006 tour of Pakistan. He himself told that during the tour, when he was fielding at mid-wicket in a match, someone attacked him with a metallic object.
After this incident, the match had to be stopped for some time and he also complained about it to the umpire. After the attack on Pathan, in the very next match, Ajit Agarkar was attacked with a small object. At that time he was fielding at third man. Even then the game had to be stopped.
