Former Indian cricketer Anshuman Gaikwad is suffering from blood cancer. In such a situation, former Team India captain Kapil Dev had raised the issue of Anshuman Gaikwad. Anshuman Gaikwad was in London, but now he has returned to Baroda, where he is undergoing treatment. According to news agency ANI, the BCCI Apex Council has informed that BCCI Secretary Jay Shah directed the BCCI to release Rs 1 crore with immediate effect to provide financial assistance to India's veteran cricketer Anshuman Gaikwad, who is battling cancer.
Apart from this, Jay Shah also spoke to Gaikwad's family and took stock of the situation and provided assistance.Recently, 1983 World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev came forward to help Gaikwad and appealed to BCCI to help Gaikwad. It was also reported that many former Indian cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Dilip Vengsarkar, Mohinder Amarnath, Sandeep Patil, Madan Lal and Kirti Azad are raising money to help Gaikwad.
