Gautam Gambhir: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach of Team India. Gautam will now take up his responsibilities in the coming times. However, even before taking up his post, he has made such a statement that has earned him enmity from two players.
Let us tell you that Gambhir has become the head coach but the rest of the coaching staff has not been announced yet but before that a statement of Gambhir came out, due to which he has increased the controversy even more.
In fact, BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced that Gautam will be the next head coach of India and he will replace Rahul Dravid.
After becoming the coach, Gambhir gave a statement saying that if you are a good player, then you can play in all formats.Gambhir had earlier said that there should be different players in all formats and whoever plays well in a particular format should play in that format. Now, when Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have announced their retirement, their statement is being discussed very fast.

In fact, both Rohit and Virat had announced their retirement from this format after the victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 and both these legendary players will no longer be seen playing in this format for India.
In such a situation, Gambhir's statement that if you are a good player then you can play all three formats also raises a question.
