Delhi: Mohammad Wasim, the new head coach of the Pakistan Women's Cricket Team, has raised questions on the facilities provided to women players and has spoken in favour of their demands. He raised several issues while speaking during a press conference at the National Stadium in Karachi.
He said that women's cricket has to be brought at par with men's cricket, whether it is in the form of remuneration or facilities. Women cricketers do not get as many facilities as the men's team of Pakistan. The head coach said that if women's cricket has to move forward, then their domestic structure will have to be strengthened, the number of matches at the domestic level will have to be increased.
He said that women's cricket gets very few matches throughout the year, at least the number of domestic matches will have to be increased, if there are matches then shortcomings like handling pressure, match finishing can be removed. It is worth noting that the head coach has targeted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) by giving this statement.
Let us tell you that the Pakistan women's team recently left for Colombo, where they will participate in the Women's Asia Cup. Their first match will be against the Indian women's team on 19 July.
