Pakistan has decided to act tough with star players Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and Shaheen Afridi. PCB is likely to deny these cricketers a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in the upcoming Global T20 (GT20) League Canada.

The tournament will start on July 25 and will be played until August 11. Despite the Men in Green not playing any international game during this time period, the PCB will follow its policy of not issuing an NOC to all format players.

According to Geo News, the PCB is concerned about the players’ workload and is not in favour of its cricketers playing in Canada. Pakistan will play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home from August 21. Naseem Shah was also not given NOC to participate in the Hundred in England.

The GT20 League Canada hasn’t been approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Different franchises in the GT20 League Canada have signed Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Asif Ali.

Earlier, the PCB Chairman said that NOCs will only be issued after considering the players’ fitness and performances. Pakistan will also play a three-match Test series against England beginning on October 7. The subcontinent team will also play two test matches against West Indies and South Africa. They are fifth in the WTC points table after winning two Tests from five five-day contests.
