Releasing a video of the event, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) wrote, “Adisha Herath's love for cricket brought her to the stadium despite all the challenges. The highlight of her day was a pleasant evening with her favourite cricketer Smriti Mandhana. Smriti gave me the opportunity to meet her.

While meeting this fan, Mandhana said, “It is good that you like cricket. You enjoyed today's match. I have brought a gift for you on behalf of all of us.”

Adisha's mother expressed her deep gratitude, saying that it was a spontaneous decision for her to come to watch the India-Pakistan match which turned out to be a special experience for her daughter, who idolises Mandhana.
