The way West Indies batted on 19th and 20th July at Trent Bridge ground, it did not seem that the same batsmen would not be able to stay on the crease for even two sessions on the very next day i.e. 21st July. In the second Test match played in Nottingham, Ben Stokes' England defeated West Indies by a huge margin of 241 runs. With this, England took control of the 3 match series even before it was over. The stars of England's victory were Joe Root, Harry Brook and Shoaib Bashir. Brook and Root played brilliant innings and scored centuries on the fourth day of the match, while young spinner Bashir, who made his Test debut this year, thrashed West Indies by taking 5 wickets.
