Sri Lanka squad for the women’s cricket competition at the upcoming Asian Games 2026 has been announced, as per reports.

The team is entering the Asiad on the back of a Women’s Asia Cup 2026 campaign, which ended with a 72-run defeat in the final against India.

Two big names from the Asia Cup squad will be missing the Asiad in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. While Nilakshika Silva is out with a finger injury, which she was nursing even while playing the summit clash, Vishmi Gunaratne has been dropped.

Silva’s presence will be missed for the Lankans after the 36-year-old ended the Asia Cup edition as Sri Lanka’s highest scorer in UAE. She scored 108 runs in four innings, which included a half-century.
