The next season of Indian Premier League will see changes in the coaching staff of several franchises. Gautam Gambhir, Abhishek Nayar, and Ryan ten Doeschate have left the Kolkata Knight Riders to join the Indian team. Ricky Ponting has been sacked by Delhi Capitals.

According to a report in News18, Gujarat Titans’ head coach Ashish Nehra and Director of Cricket Vikram Solanki are likely to end their association ahead of IPL 2025. GT finished eighth on the points table under Shubman Gill’s captaincy in IPL 2024.

Nehra and Solanki joined the franchise in 2022, and the team won their maiden title in first season. Titans also made it to the final in 2023, where Chennai Super Kings defeated them. However, they failed this year after failing to replace Hardik Pandya, who joined Mumbai Indians. GT also missed Mohammad Shami, who was ruled out due to an ankle injury.

Gujarat are in touch with Yuvraj Singh to join the coaching staff.

“A lot of changes are expected. Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki are likely to bid adieu. Yuvraj Singh and Gujarat Titans are in touch and the veteran all-rounder could join the team. Nothing is finalised but changes in the coaching staff are on the cards,” says a source close to developments.

Gary Kirsten, who was Titans’ assistant coach for the past three seasons, has become Pakistan’s coach in white-ball formats.
