Come to the field and attack the bowlers. Rain sixes and fours and make the opposing team surrender in the powerplay itself. Gautam Gambhir adopted a similar strategy for Kolkata Knight Riders and as a result this team became the champion of IPL 2024. Now Gautam Gambhir is going to apply the IPL formula in Team India as well. According to the news coming from Pallekele, Gautam Gambhir has found a player who will play exactly like Sunil Narine. He will have the responsibility to go to the crease and hit only sixes and fours. This player is none other than off-spinner Washington Sundar, whom Gautam Gambhir has decided to give the role of Sunil Narine.

Sunil Narine of Team India!

According to reports from Pallekele, Gautam Gambhir has given Washington Sundar the role of fast hitting. This player was made to bat at number 3 in two consecutive practice sessions. Sundar practiced long range hitting during batting. Meaning he was asked to hit only sixes and fours. This was the same kind of batting as Sunil Narine does. The interesting thing is that Washington Sundar is also a left-handed batsman and he is also an economical bowler like Narine.

Gambhir's planning is powerful...

Gautam Gambhir's plan to put Washington Sundar in the role of Sunil Narine is strong. Actually Sundar bats well. He has also proved this in international matches. This 24-year-old player has also scored half-centuries in all three formats - T20, ODI and Test. In the T20 match against New Zealand in Ranchi last year, Sundar proved his mettle by scoring 50 runs in just 26 balls. However, Team India lost that match. But there is no doubt that this player can do strong hitting. Now it remains to be seen whether this experiment of Gambhir is successful or not.
