India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma was spotted at the Mumbai Airport, with his family, reportedly returning from a two-week trip to the United States on July 25th. The right-handed batter had been enjoying some time off after leading India to a T20 World Cup triumph in Barbados on June 29.
After participating in several events during his US tour, Rohit Sharma has returned to India. He is set to feature in the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka, which begins on Friday, August 2nd. All the matches in this series will be played in Colombo.
After India’s triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, Rohit and his family departed for a well-deserved vacation in London. The 37-year-old captain was later spotted in the Royal Box at Centre Court, where he witnessed the thrilling Wimbledon 2024 semifinal match between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev.
After attending various events in Dallas, the India skipper Rohit Sharma flew back to Mumbai. Viral social media video showed Sharma, his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and their daughter Samaira Sharma exiting the airport arrival gate following their vacation.
After retiring from T20I’s, Rohit Sharma will continue captaining the Indian team in the 50-over format. The ODI squad for the Men in Blue also includes Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, marking the start of a new era under newly appointed coach Gautam Gambhir.
