Born on 22 April 1937 in Winchester, Ken Palmer played only one international match for England. This match was a Test match against South Africa, which was played in 1965. Apart from this, in 314 first class matches, the right-handed batsman scored 7771 runs and also took 866 wickets.
After retiring from cricket, the English legend contributed to umpiring. He has umpired in 22 Tests and 23 ODIs. He was also honoured with the MBE award in 2003 for his service to cricket.
