Who can become an umpire?

The salary of BCCI panel umpires is decided on the basis of their level and seniority. There are many grades of umpires in BCCI, which include Grade A to D. The fees of umpires of each grade are different. BCCI currently has 20 umpires in Grade A, 60 umpires in Grade B, 46 umpires in Grade C and 11 umpires in Grade D. The salary of a Grade A umpire is Rs 40 thousand per day, while Grade B umpires are paid a salary of Rs 30 thousand.
ICC Elite Panel Umpires Salary
