Delhi:Before IPL 2027, the stir among the franchises regarding the trade of players has intensified. Amidst the ongoing discussions regarding the trade of Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, another big name has now come to light. Actually, Chennai Super Kings is trying to include England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, who is a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad, in its team.
According to media reports, Chennai Super Kings has shown interest in trading Livingstone. However, no final decision has been taken yet regarding this deal. Hyderabad team is also said to be confused about Livingstone. There is also talk of another franchise's interest in this trade.
SRH made Liam Livingstone a part of its team by buying it for a huge amount of Rs 13 crore in the auction for IPL 2026. Before this he was a part of RCB. RCB had bought Livingstone for Rs 8.75 crore in the last mega auction, but released him later.
However, Livingstone's performance last season was not as expected. He got to play only 2 matches.
The picture of which players MS Dhoni's team CSK will trade with Hyderabad to acquire Livingstone is not clear yet. Some reports have claimed that CSK can include fast bowler Khalil Ahmed in this deal.
However, this claim has not been confirmed. One reason for this is that Hyderabad has recently included T Natarajan in its team, who like Khalil is a left arm fast bowler.
According to sources, apart from Livingstone, CSK is discussing to trade one more player. Not just two, but many franchises and players are involved in this whole matter. At present no deal has been finalized.
The last date to retain players for IPL 2027 has been fixed as November 17. In such a situation, all the franchises do not have much time left to make changes in their squad.
