The name of this device is 'Temple'. It has been prepared by Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal. This device is pasted directly on the forehead through a special sticky patch.

Apart from Gill, Indian badminton player PV Sindhu has also been seen with this device during international tournaments, even the World Championships.

How does this device work?

The main technology of this device is called 'BrainFlow'. The light sensors installed in it track the blood flow near the brain. In simple language, it tells how the blood flow to your head is changing during different activities.

Additionally, the device also measures a measure called 'Entropy', which Deepinder Goyal calls the body's 'real-time cost of survival'. That is, it tells how much stress or pressure your body is facing at a particular time. Through this data, athletes can easily understand how their body is reacting after a heavy workout and what is making their recovery slower or faster.
