Delhi: Former Sunrisers Hyderabad player Hanuma Vihari has made a big claim regarding the captaincy of the team before IPL 2027. Let us tell you that at present Australian all-rounder Pat Cummins is the captain of the team.

Keeping in mind next year's World Cup, Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Ashes, Vihari believes that Pat Cummins may miss the entire season of IPL 2027. However, he says that SRH has made good preparations to deal with Cummins' absence through a trade deal with Chennai Super Kings.

Pat Cummins will not participate in IPL 2027?

Let us tell you that to strengthen its bowling department, SRH has traded Khalil Ahmed and Nathan Ellis in exchange for England's Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards. Vihari believes that if Cummins does not play in IPL 2027, then Ishan Kishan can take charge of the team.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he said, 'I am 99.9% sure that Pat Cummins will not play next year. But even if they don't play, SRH still have an excellent bowling attack.

Therefore they do not need to panic. Ishan Kishan can lead the team'

SRH will have to find a finisher – Vihari

Despite strengthening the bowling through a trade deal and also including T Natarajan from Delhi Capitals in the team, Vihari feels that there is still a big gap in Hyderabad. According to him, the team needs an experienced finisher.

He further said, 'Sunrisers Hyderabad has to do only one thing, find a finisher who has proven himself in this role before. Will they be able to do this? Salil Arora is in the team, while Aniket Verma's last season was a bit disappointing.

Nitish Kumar Reddy is also a part of the team and he is performing well for India. Therefore there will be a lot of expectations from him. But getting an experienced finisher is a different matter.

It is known that in the absence of Cummins in IPL 2026, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan led Hyderabad in 7 matches. As acting captain, he led the team to victory in 4 matches, while it had to face defeat in 3 matches. His captaincy record was good.
