With the second ODI around the corner, there is massive anticipation about whom India could add to the playing XI for the game on Saturday. The Men in Blue, holding a 1-0 lead in the series, will play New Zealand in the second game at the Hnry Stadium in Wellington.

Former India batter Aakash Chopra said that Mohammed Siraj could come into the team for the game in Wellington.

The 32-year-old pacer was last seen playing for India A in the second unofficial Test against New Zealand, where he took four wickets.

Auqib Nabi played the game in Auckland and went wicketless. “There is possibility of one change, which is Nabi going out and Siraj, who wasn’t available for the last game,” he said

“Although nothing was said at the toss or even in the post-match interview. If he is available, then there could be one change.” Shubman Gill might be tempted to give Nabi another game, considering the pacer was unlucky not to pick a wicket early in his spell.

Former batter questions team management about Kuldeep Yadav

One player who has been warming the bench during the course of the current tour is 31-year-old Kuldeep Yadav.

He last played in the series against West Indies at home and was benched after the second T20I in Ranchi, where he claimed one wicket.

Aakash Chopra asked the team management if they could make some space for the left-arm wrist spinner. “If such a change happens, then will the team play with four pacers? Kamboj can bat at number eight, and if the team is ok with it, then they can have Kuldeep bat at nine, which is the only change that comes to mind. Brar has done well, so he cannot be benched.

Either Siraj or Yadav could come in place of Auqib, which could be the only change. It is up to the team management what they want to do.”
